Some days everything seems to click: kids are participating, they're answering questions correctly, and they're even smiling. (Smiling!) Not so fast. Can you be sure that your students internalized the key components of your lesson? What if you unconsciously ignored those students who may not have learned as much as they could? It happens. Especially on Friday. If you're committed to ending class with an Exit Ticket, you'll be able to get the data you need to confidently move ahead with tomorrow's lesson, or to reteach material that didn't quite sink in.
